We Are Wired was born from a simple truth: beneath all our differences, we’re the same messy mass of nerves, wires, and flickering signals.

Skin color, flags, opinions, beliefs—we use them like labels on folders, forgetting that underneath the hood, it’s all just electricity running through meat. Pulses moving through tubes. And deeper still? Tiny, dancing dots called quarks, rearranging themselves into illusions of separateness.

We keep inventing new ways to divide ourselves, but the body doesn’t care. It’s too busy firing neurons, keeping time, translating light into vision and thought into movement. We are all wired—literally—and yet we act like strangers.

This piece is a reminder that what separates us is a story. What connects us is reality.
